Abstract:

To provide a means capable of reducing an amount of precious metal used and whereas, enhancing a catalytic activity under a high space velocity condition in a precious metal based shift catalyst containing the precious metal.

In the shift catalyst for promoting a reaction to hydrogen and carbon dioxide from carbon monoxide and water, an inorganic carrier containing niobium and/or zirconium and cerium are carried with one kind or two kinds or more of promoters selected from the group consisting of cerium, zirconium, titanium, niobium and molybdenum, and a platinum atom.
