Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the shift checking mechanism positioning accuracy without affecting the operating power by providing a shift checking mechanism outside of a fulcrum of a fork rod of a front cover supporting one end of the fork rod. CONSTITUTION:One end of the fork rod 8 disposed in the transmission gear case 1 is slidably supported by a cylindrical supporting part 36 projecting outward from the front cover 4. The part of the fork rod 8 fitted in the supporting part 36 is provided with a plurality of grooves 37. The fork rod 8 is supported by a bushing 38 which is fitted near the grooves 37. A check ball 41 supported in a cylindrical guide tube 39 and pressed by a bolt 40 through a compression spring 42 checks the movement of the shift rod 8.
