To provide a shift control device of a continuously variable transmission capable of achieving good acceleration on both of a flat road and an uphill road in re-acceleration such as kick-down acceleration, and preventing impairing of fuel consumption caused by increase of engine rotational frequency to more than necessary.
This shift control device of a continuously variable transmission has a plurality of maps provided with shift lines in which a car speed and a gear ratio or target input shaft rotating speed are corresponded to each other by every accelerator opening as up-shift shifting characteristics, in a state of being different from each other in up-shift quantities based on the shift lines even to the same accelerator opening, in up-shift shifting, in particular, in re-acceleration such as kick-down acceleration, and one of the plurality of maps is selected in accordance with a driving situation of a vehicle (for example, during travelling on flat road or travelling on uphill road), so that the up-shift quantity is determined on the basis of the selected map.
