If an operation time of a paddle switch 160, 170 receiving shift operation by a driver exceeds predetermined time, a shift control part 102 of a TCU100 sets shift speed according to an operation stroke amount (operation position) of the paddle switch 160, 170. In that case, the shift control part 102 increases the shift speed as the operation stroke amount is larger. While the shift operation is continuously received beyond the predetermined time, the shift control part 102 changes the gear ratio at the set shift speed. Meanwhile, when the operation time of the paddle switch 160, 170 does not exceed the predetermined time, the shift control part 102 shifts to a gear ratio of a next stage that has been previously set in a manual shift mode.
