PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control technology capable of reducing load in engagement operation between an input shaft and an output shaft.SOLUTION: A shift controller of an automatic transmission configured to shift rotation of an input shaft and output the same to an output shaft, includes: an input detection unit configured to detect actual rotation of the input shaft; an output detection unit configured to detect actual rotation of the output shaft; an estimation unit configured to estimate an estimation rotational frequency of the input shaft corresponding to a shift request, by multiplying actual rotation of the output shaft by a target shift ratio; and a control unit configured to control the rotation of the input shaft based on the detection result of the input detection unit. The control unit is configured to control the rotation of the input shaft so that an upper limit rotational frequency of variation in the actual rotation of the input shaft is lower than the estimation rotational frequency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
