Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift controller preventing an excessive engine braking during a step motor failure.
SOLUTION: In a gear ratio infinity transmission using a troidal type continuously variable transmission, a plus torque control valve 40 communicating with a port 46inc and a minus torque control valve 45 communicating with a port 46dec are provided in the downstream of a drain side of a shift control valve 46 controlling the fluid pressure in the fluid chambers 30A, 30B of a hydraulic cylinder 30 in accordance with a vehicle driving conditions and the hydraulic cylinder 30 driving a power roller by means of a tranion. The shift controller can set up the pressure difference ΔP1, ΔP2 between a supply pressure PL and a control pressure Pc1 or a control pressure Pc2 under a predetermined value, so as to limit a transmitting torque of an engine brake side according to a driving mode and a driving direction.
