Abstract:
To improve determination accuracy of an operation position.SOLUTION: A shift device includes: a shift lever; a magnet which, with an operation of the shift lever in a first operation direction, moves in a trajectory substantially parallel to an X-axis direction along a first virtual plane parallel to an XY plane, and which, with the operation of the shift lever in a second operation direction, moves in a trajectory substantially parallel to the X-axis direction along a second virtual plane different from the first virtual plane; a magnetic sensor for outputting spatial coordinate data which changes according to the position of the magnet; and a determination circuit. The determination circuit converts the spatial coordinate data into first coordinate data determined by first angle data which is a ZX coordinate argument in a ZX orthogonal coordinate system, and second angle data which is a ZY coordinate argument in a ZY orthogonal coordinate system, converts the first coordinate data into second coordinate data on one quadrant in a two-dimensional orthogonal coordinate system, and specifies an operation position of the shift lever according to a distance from a reference point in the two-dimensional orthogonal coordinate system to the second coordinate data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
