Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shift-down control method and system of a hybrid vehicle capable of eliminating an acceleration delay feeling of a hybrid vehicle and improving acceleration linearity before and after gear change.SOLUTION: A shift-down control method of a hybrid vehicle includes: a step for determining whether or not a travel mode of a hybrid vehicle is an electric motor vehicle (EV) mode; a step for determining whether or not kickdown for shift-down has occurred when the hybrid vehicle is travelling in the EV mode; a step for turning an engine ON and performing shift start (SS) when a shift-down condition by the kickdown is satisfied; a step for determining whether or not the RPM of the motor is synchronized with the RPM of the engine before performing the actual shift begin (SB); a step for coupling an engine clutch when the RPM of the motor is synchronized with the RPM of the engine; and a step for performing actual shift by performing the actual shift begin (SB) when the engine clutch is coupled.
