Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily prevent liquid such as juice, falling along a shift lever, from causing the damage of the internal equipment of a shift lever device.
CONSTITUTION: In the operating device of an automatic transmission, a waterproof guard 12 is mounted in a crossed and closely fitted state to a shift lever 4, below an indicator 5. Liquid falling along the shift lever 4 is thereby caught by the waterproof guard 12 so as to drip down to the side A where lock mechanism such as a limit switch 32 and a solenoid 31 is not disposed.
