To prevent a transmission from coming into a state of being locked, while both clutches are within the range of static friction.
This transmission is so constituted that it is provided with two transmission input shafts E1, E2 and one transmission output shaft A, while each of friction clutches K1 and K2 is additionally installed in these transmission input shafts, and an a starting state, one side of both these clutches transmits engine torque in a static friction state and the other side clutch is opened. In this case, first of all, the free transmission input shaft on the other is brought into the synchronous revolution, and it is meshed with an intended gear. Revolution of at least one side clutch is adjusted to a value approximate to the synchronous revolution within the range of sliding friction till the torque to be transmitted is continuously shifted from one side clutch to the other side one.
