A shift lever alternatively moved/operated to five lever positions "P", "R", "N", "D" and "M" of a main lever passage 112 is moved/operated from the lever position "M" to a first sub-lever passage 114 where the first shift switch 80 is arranged and a second sub-lever passage 116 where the second shift switch 82 is arranged through a connection passage 118. Thereby, since the shift range can be manually switched by every one and can be switched by two at once, not only the shift range can be variously switched but also the operability is further enhanced as compared with the case where manual switching is performed by using a plurality of levers and a push button.
