Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift range control device capable of suppressing the generation of collision sound at the time of switching a shift range.SOLUTION: A shift range control device 40 switches a shift range by controlling the drive of a motor 10, and is equipped with an idle traveling determining portion 57 and a duty control portion 58. The idle traveling determining portion 57 determines whether or not it is an idle traveling state in which the motor shaft that is a rotary shaft of the motor 10 rotates within a play existing between an output shaft 15 and the motor shaft. The duty control portion 58 limits a current of the motor 10, when it is determined as the idle traveling state. Therefore, collision sound at the time of switching the shift range can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
