Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift register in which scanning of a desired range is conducted for plural number of times by setting not only a scanning start position but also a scanning stop position through one preliminary scanning when a scanning range is not revised.
SOLUTION: After shift pulses each having a plurality of clock widths are shifted up to a desired position by preliminary scanning prior to main scanning, a detection signal from an edge detector 3 and an inverse edge detector 4 is stored in an edge signal storage section 7 and an inverse edge signal storage section 8 by driving an edge signal storage switch 5 and an inverse edge signal storage switch 6 by a memory signal ΦM. Since the scanning start position and the scanning stop position are stored in the edge signal storage section 7 and the inverse edge signal storage section 8, the shift register is obtained, in which plural number of the main scanning for a desired range is conducted only with one preliminary scanning when the scanning range is not revised at the main scanning.
