PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shifting apparatus good in operability.SOLUTION: A shifting apparatus includes: an R switch 31 exposed to the outside and allowed to be operated in a second direction crossing a first direction by being operated toward the first direction; and a fixed contact 5a for detecting a displacement of the R switch 31 in the second direction. When a displacement of the R switch 31 in the second direction is detected at the fixed contact 5a, a shift range of a transmission is changed to a gear range corresponding to the R switch 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
