Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively damp a vibration, which is a cause of brake noise, over a long period.

CONSTITUTION: Relating to a disk brake, it is constituted by providing a stainless steel thin plate 81, wherein a disk brake use shim 80, interposed between back plates 11, 41 of pads 10, 40 and a pressing part 31 of a cylinder 30 or a piston 60 of pressing these pads toward a disk rotor to damp a vibration of causing a brake noise, is brought into contact with the cylinder pressing part or the piston, and by providing a metal thin plate 82 wherein an obverse/ reverse brought into contact with the back plate of the pad is applied with a rubber coating. Accordingly, pawls 81f, 81g, extended out between a bridge part 32 of the cylinder 30 and the back plate of the pad, are provided in the stainless steel thin plate 81, to engage an intermediate part of these pawls with the bridge part 32 of the cylinder, and to engage the point end part with the back plates 11, 41 of the pad.
