Abstract:

To provide highly efficient placement of a solar cell within a solar cell module and a method of making such a solar module.SOLUTION: A solar cell module includes solar cells 10 that conduct and join each other in a wood shingle shape to form a supercell. The configuration can be arranged to efficiently use the area of a solar module, reduce series resistance, and increase the module efficiency. The solar cell 10 may have a narrow rectangular geometry and may be advantageously employed in a wood shingle (overlapping) arrangement to form a supercell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
