Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship which enables a simple system to suppress main hull oscillation by wave, to further improve power harvesting performance by the power conversion of wave energy, and to enlarge a range capable of variably controlling the optimization of energy harvesting with riding comfort.SOLUTION: A ship comprises a main hull supported via suspension springs on a float and a motor/generator MG driven by the relative motion of the float with the main hull. An oscillation control part 9 outputs motor/generator control signals for controlling the motor/generator MG in accordance with vertical accelerations of the main hull. An energy harvesting control part 10 outputs motor/generator control signals for controlling the motor/generator MG in accordance with rotation situations of the motor/generator MG so as to resonate with the frequency of the main hull and also can give an order of priority to the oscillation control and the energy harvesting by weighting both the signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
