Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a ship propelling device by which bad influence on an oil seal because of a fishing string or the like can be eliminated by means of conventional parts constitution without causing any increase in the number of parts.
CONSTITUTION: In a ship propelling device, in which front and rear propellers 2, 3 are provided and a fixing nut 37 for the front propeller and a spacer 38 for the rear propeller are arranged between respective inner cylinders 2a, 3a of the propellers 2, 3, a recessed groove thread cutting part formed in the outer circumference of the spacer 38 for the rear propeller is covered by means of a part, of the fixing nut 37 for the front propeller. In this way, a fishing string and the like is prevented from invading into the oil seal 40 side by means of the thread cutting part formed in the spacer 38 for the rear propeller even when the fishing string invades into the inside from a gap δ1 between both propellers 2, 3, and as the thread cutting part is covered by means of a part of the fixing nut 37 for the front propeller, invasion of the fishing string and the like is surely prevented, and as a result, the purpose is accomplished.
