PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship propulsion apparatus which improves driving power of a ship and a ship.SOLUTION: A ship 100 includes a bow opening 11 drilled under the bow part 1 of a ship, a cavity part 20 which has a stern opening 31 from the bow opening 11 toward a stern 3 and drilled nearly linearly, a screw propeller arranged at a position close to the stern within the cavity part, and a power generator for driving the screw propeller. The ship 100 is also provided with a bottom opening drilled in the ship bottom at a position close to the bow of the ship and a cavity-part notch part 21 which is formed so that the opening cross section expands from the upper side to the lower side at a position where a way from the bottom opening to the cavity part and the cavity part scrambles.
