Abstract:
To provide a ship propulsion machine capable of improving sailing performance by downsizing or slimming a gear case, or capable of making it easy to put on/take off the gear case to the ship propulsion machine.SOLUTION: In an outboard engine 11 as a ship propulsion machine, an electric motor 12 as a power source, a tank 32 which stores cooling water for cooling the electric motor 12 and so on, and a pump 34 which circulates the cooling water are installed on the top of the outboard engine 11, a gear case 22 with a gear mechanism 21 housed inside and with rotatably supported propeller 20 is installed at the bottom of the outboard engine 11, and a heatsink 51 which cools the cooling water is installed at a position lower than the electric motor 12 and higher than the gear case 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
