Abstract:
To provide a ship comprising plural propeller driving systems for transmitting power from two propulsion systems to a propeller shaft coupled to propellers through a reduction gear, capable of arranging the propeller driving systems in a rear portion of a stern where a hull space is relatively narrow, suppressing expansion of an engine room and length increase (ΔLs content) of the propeller shaft, and generating large propulsion force and a reduction gear for the ship.SOLUTION: Two propeller driving systems 2A, 2B comprise respectively, two propulsion systems 11, 13, 12, 14 arranged on a front side and a rear side of reduction gears 21, 22, two output shafts 33, 34 of the output shaft 31, 32 of the propulsion system 11, 12 arranged on a front side and output shaft 33, 34 of the propulsion system 13, 14 arranged on a rear side and one propeller shaft 41, 42 are connected to the reduction gear, and there is provided a height difference between the output shaft of the propulsion system arranged on a rear side and the propeller shaft which passes a side part of the propulsion system arranged on a rear side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
