To provide a ship for which a suction head applied to a fire extinguishing pump for an emergency is reduced or pushed in, the performance of the fire extinguishing pump for the emergency is easily secured and the arrangement of the fire extinguishing pump for the emergency and the take-in port of seawater for fire extinguishing is facilitated by changing the arrangement of the fire extinguishing pump for the emergency from the conventional arrangement on the stern side.
The fire extinguishing pump 4 for the emergency for fire-extinguishing an engine area 2 is arranged in one of a section 3 provided inside the lower stall part 16 of the transverse bulkhead 12 of a hold 13, a section provided between the hold 13 and the hold 13 and a section provided between the engine area 2 and the hold 13. Also, further, the water suction port of the fire extinguishing pump 4 for the emergency and the seawater take-in port are provided below a light draft line WL.
