To provide a ship capable of avoiding formation of explosive atmosphere caused by the mixture of combustible gas and air in the ship while keeping air tightness of a delivery path of a solid cargo when connecting a cargo handling device at a ship side and a cargo handling facility at a land side, and handling the cargo in the ship for transporting the solid cargo which generates combustible gas, and capable of performing safe cargo handling.
In the ship 1 for transporting the bulk solid cargo which generates the combustible gas, part of the ship side cargo handling facility 21, 31 with an air tight structure is moved from the ship 1 side to the port and starboard so as to be overhung to the land side 2 when handling the cargo between the ship 1 and the land side cargo handling facility 50. At the overhung portion, air-tight connection is performed between the ship side cargo handling facility 21, 31 and the land side cargo handling facility 50, and the cargo is handled between the ship side cargo handling facility 21, 31 and the land side cargo handling facility 50.
