Abstract:
A ship that comprises: a fuel tank that stores LPG such that the temperature of the LPG follows the temperature of the air; a propulsion engine uses the LPG as fuel; a fuel supply line that supplies LPG from the fuel tank to the engine; a fuel recovery line that recovers unused LPG from the engine to the fuel tank; a pump that is provided to the fuel supply line; a flowmeter that detects the supply flow rate of LPG that flows into the engine via the fuel supply line or the recovery flow rate of LPG that flows out of the engine via the fuel recovery line; a control device that controls the pump such that the flow rate detected by the flowmeter is at a prescribed value that corresponds to the fuel consumption of the engine; and a manometer that detects the pressure of an air layer inside the fuel tank. The control device changes the minimum rotational speed of the pump in accordance with the pressure detected by the manometer.
