Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent oceanic life from sticking to an outer surface of a hull, and also reduce frictional resistance during sailing of a ship, by covering the outer surface of the ship with fluororesin.
CONSTITUTION: An outer surface of a hull 1 is coated or sprayed with fluororesin such as polytetrafluoroethylene etc. Thus, frictional resistance against water during sailing of a ship may be reduced, and adhesion of oceanic life to the outer surface of the hull may be prevented.
