PURPOSE: To provide a package, which is capable of transporting membranes such as flourine-containing cation exchange membranes without being damaged.

CONSTITUTION: A shipping package is provided for membranes such as fluorine- containing cation exchange membrane wrapped on a roll without using adhesive to fasten the membrane to the core or to itself at the end of the wrap. In this case, paper is taped to the core and interleaved with the membrane. At the end of the wrap, the paper is again interleaved with the membrane and the paper is taped to itself.
