To shift a neck stand, which moves between a pressing position and a finishing-touch-position, to the next working position automatically after a shirt is taken away from itself.
Neck stand C revolves 180 degrees with arm 42 between starting point o and ending point e. When the neck stand C receives a shirt from a stripping device at letting-go-point c and goes back to the starting point o, operator M gives the finishing touches to the shirt such as forming the collar and doing up buttons while the shirt ahead is being pressed. After all of these works, when the shirt is taken off from the neck stand C, a hole of the stand is opened. This opening changes photoelectric quantity of photoelectric switch 87 and whether there is a shirt or not is detected by the change. The neck stand C is shifted to the standby condition by the detecting signal.
