To provide a shock absorber for railroad vehicle suppressing abnormal noise caused by contact and friction generated between rubber shock absorbers and shock absorber frame bodies receiving the rubber shock absorbers.
The rubber shock absorbers (6, 7) are housed in the shock absorber frame bodies (2, 3) in a state where shock absorbing function is performed. Solid lubricants (14, 18) are provided on the inner wall surface of the shock absorber frame bodies (2, 3). The solid lubricants (14, 18) are made of a resin plate, rubber plate, copper plate, aluminum plate, or ceramic plate, and fixed onto the inner wall surfaces of the shock absorber frame bodies (2, 3) with use of an adhesive, screws, or the like. Alternatively, the solid lubricants are formed by coating a resin, rubber, copper, aluminum, or ceramics on the inner wall surfaces of the shock absorber frame bodies (2, 3).
