To provide a shock absorber to be used in MDB test for more accurately simulating actual body reaction property during collision by reproducing the body reaction property not only in the longitudinal direction but also in the cross direction of a vehicle.

The shock absorber 1 is provided on the front face of a moving truck 10. It is formed of a honeycomb structure 4 with a master honeycomb 2 and a core honeycomb 3. The relative positions and strength properties of the master honeycomb 2 and the core honeycomb 3 are adjusted to approximate the body reaction property to be simulated in the longitudinal and cross directions of the actual vehicle. Thus, the actual body reaction property is more accurately reproduced.
