PURPOSE: To relax the shock produced by lock release, by engaging locking teeth to hold welding and by absorbing the returning rotation which is in the opposite direction of the pressed contact of the welding surface of an eccentric cam plate by the extending/compressing shaft of the shock absorber contacted with the circumference of the eccentric cam plate if an external force peeling the welding surface works when the lock is released in course of the required welding time.
CONSTITUTION: Holding time of welding by pressed contact of the end surfaces of resin pipes a, b is set by a timer which starts when the circuit of a solenoid 37 is closed, and locking is released by pushing up lock teeth 39 by means of a pressing spring 43. A shaft piece 36 a of the shock absorber 36 contacts with the circumference surface close to a shaft piece 23 of an eccentric cam plate 35 to prevent the rotation to the arrow line, z direction. At the same time, a spring for setting pressure 22 suddenly extends to delay the rotating speed of the shaft piece 23 as a friction brake 34 works too. The rotation of a pinion, which moves with the shaft piece 23, to the clock direction is thereby delayed and the movement of the pressing shaft 18 which engages a rack 19 with the pinion 24 by means of extending elasticity of the spring for setting pressure 22 is delayed to absorb shock.
