Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely attach a holding member to a piston rod, in a shock absorber.SOLUTION: A shock absorber 100 includes: a piston rod 10 inserted into a cylinder 1 so as to freely move forward/backward; an attenuation force generation unit provided at a piston 2, and configured to apply resistance against flow of working oil between an expansion side chamber 110 and a pressure side chamber 120 to generate attenuation force; a housing 20 configured to hold the attenuation force generation unit; a rebound support 30 screwed with the housing 20, attached to an outer periphery of the piston rod 10, and coupling between the housing 20 and the piston rod 10; and a rotation regulation unit configured to regulate relative rotation between the housing 20 and the rebound support 30. The rotation regulation unit has a recess part 25, and a first caulking part 12 contacting with the recess part 25. The first caulking part 12 is formed in the housing 20, and the recess part 25 is formed at the piston rod 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
