Abstract:
To provide a shock absorber excellent in a cushioning function, regeneration efficiency, and a power running function.SOLUTION: A shock absorber S includes: a cylinder 1a for accommodating fluid; a piston 1b that reciprocates with respect to the cylinder 1a while partitioning an inside of the cylinder 1a into a first fluid chamber R1 and a second fluid chamber R2; a pump 2 having a first port P1 and a second port P2 that communicates with either one of the first fluid chamber R1 and the second fluid chamber R2, having a rotation member for circulating the fluid over the first port P1 and the second port P2, having a flow rate change part that changes a circulation amount of the fluid according to a pressure difference between a pressure of the first fluid chamber R1 and a pressure of the second fluid chamber R2, and having a rotation direction setting part that keeps a rotation direction of the rotation member constant regardless of the pressure difference; an electric rotor rotating in conjunction with the pump 2; and a stator for forming a magnetic field between the electric rotor and the stator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
