Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure smooth quiet operation of a shock absorber while realizing a compact structure as mush as possible.
SOLUTION: The shock absorber has a cylinder 1 and a piston, to which a piston rod 9 guided by the cylinder 1 under a sealed state is continued, and the piston rod 9 divides a cylinder space filled with a liquid into two chambers while constituting a shock absorbing ram having drilling and a flowing opening with a cylinder side wall. A guide bush 10 guiding the piston rod 9 is arranged in an end-section region on the piston-rod outlet side of the cylinder 1. A compression spring is engaged between the piston and a cylinder bottom wall. The guide bush 10 has a central axis section having a small diameter. The guide bush 10 is supported by a stepped section, in which the inside diameter of the cylinder 1 is throttled, at the diameter-expanding end section. Another end of the guide bush 10 is supported by a cover 11 closing the cylinder 1. A tubular member consisting of an elastic material is installed to the central axis section of the guide bush 10.
