Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to improve riding comfort feeling at low cost by making a spring constant variable, by providing an inner cylinder sliding within an outer cylinder by providing stepped parts corresponding to stepped parts in the inside of the bottomed outer cylinder and making coil springs insert within spaces among those stepped parts. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 2 provided with a plurality of steps 6, 7, 9 is made to insert within a bottomed outer cylinder 1 slidably, and coil springs 3-5 are made to insert into the stepped parts corresponding to stepped parts 11-13 of the outer cylinder 1 by adapting the coil springs to the outer diameters of the inner cylinder 2 respectively. Althrough the coil springs 4, 5 are separated from the inner cylinder at gaps 8, 10 by abutting the coil springs 3 against the inner cylinder 2 at the stepped part 6 under a state of no-load, the spring 3 is compressed by the inner cylinder 2 when a displacement quantity X is 8 or more by receiving a load by the inner cylinder 2 and when the displacement quantity X is 8 or more and less than 10 the springs 3, 4 are compressed. When the displacement quantity X is 10 or more, it becomes that the springs 3-5 are compressed, through which a combination spring constant can be obtained.
