To provide a shock absorbing assembly capable of easily securing a crushing allowance of a shock absorbing member.
The shock absorbing assembly 1 is equipped with a fitting object member 2 having a back side hole 200, a cylindrical shock absorbing member 3 which is disposed on the front side of the object member 2 and has a front side hole 303 and a fitting member 4 for fitting the shock absorbing member 3 to the object member 2. The fitting member 4 comprises a partition wall part 40, a back side engaging part 41 which extends from the partition wall part 40 to the back side in the back side hole 200, and is engaged with a back side port edge 200R of the backside hole 200, and a front surface side engaging part 42 which extends from the partition wall part 40 to the front side in the front side hole 303 and is engaged with the front side port edge 303F of the front side hole 303. When the shock absorbing member is crushed in a collision, the partition wall part 40 can move to the back side in the back side hole 200 so that a front side projection part 421 of the front engaging part 42 can be retracted in the front side hole 303.
