Title:
SHOCK ABSORBING DEVICE AND RAILROAD VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010241373
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To reduce damages of an obstacle and a self vehicle by absorbing the shock energy.
A shock-absorbing body 11 is mounted on an awning seat 2 for mounting a penetration awning in place of the awning. Thus, a long stroke is ensured without reforming a railroad vehicle 10, and large shock energy is absorbed. The shock-absorbing body 11 is formed in a hollow parallelopiped shape, and absorbs the shock energy through the plastic deformation when colliding with the obstacle. A section of the shock-absorbing body 11 is formed in the substantially same shape as that of a frame of the awning seat 2.
