To provide a shock-absorbing material having new shock absorption action, visual effect, and guiding function of weight shift, and also to provide a shoe equipped with the shock-absorbing materials.
A member for absorbing shock by elastic deformation integrally includes a heel pressure portion 2 and a deformable portion 3 that develops arcuately around the heel pressure portion 2, by a connecting portion 4. The deformable portion 3 is formed with a turning-back portion 31 including a comb-teeth shaped turning-back elements 31a directed toward the heel pressure portion 2. Each of the turning-back elements 31a is directed to the heel pressure portion 2, so that weight shift can be smoothly guided from the deformable portion 3 to the heel pressure portion 2. Further, by choosing the form and position of the turning-back elements 31a, the deforming state of a shock absorption requiring portion 3 including the turning-back portion 31 can be tuned.
