Abstract:
To provide a shock absorbing method capable of obtaining optimum shock absorbing property according to used conditions by using a general plastic material.
In a shock absorbing method for absorbing shock during the collision of the head of a dummy doll of mass (m)=4.54 kg at an initial speed (V0)=24 km/h with a shock absorbing structure, a relationship between F1(t) and F2(t) is represented as follows: F1(t)=m×{(100-166.4)/0.75446t}1/2.5 and F2(t)=m×V0/t, a time (t) for shock absorption is satisfied with F1(t)>F2(t) or equal thereto and an average shock load (f) at this time is satisfied with f<F1(t) or equal thereto.
