Title:
SHOCK ABSORPTION MECHANISM FOR EYEGLASS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3579674
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorption mechanism for eye glasses which can be produced by simple constitution and absorb collision energy even when unexpected pressure is applied to the front frame of the eyeglasses, by the restoring elasticity of an elastic member.
SOLUTION: A flexible connection member 1 consisting of elastic material is arranged on the proximal end side of an eyeglass temple T. An engaging supporting pole 2 is arranged so as to be branched on the side of the outer surface of the member 1 parted from a hinge part, and a guide groove 21 is formed on the inner side of the distal end side of the pole 2. This guide groove 21 can be locked by being engaged with an outer edge projecting part 12 in the neighborhood of the hinge part 11 of the connection member 1. On the other hand, when an eyeglass front frame F receives a shock, the frame F is tilted to elastically deform the connection member 1 and the guide groove 21 of the supporting pole 2 is detached in a vertically separating direction to be unlocked for absorbing the shock to the eyeglasses. A technical means like this is adopted.
