PURPOSE: To provide excellence in shock elimination performance and grasp precisely state of shock elimination and degree of deterioration.

CONSTITUTION: In the constitution of shock absorbing type shoes in which a shock absorbing member 9 is disposed on the side of a sole 2 being jointed 4AM to a back portion 1, a main part of the shock absorbing member 9 is disposed on the side of a sole 2 and a portion 9b of it is exposed in a sole periphery portion 2b between the lower side of a back portion 1 and a ground contact face 2a of the sole 2.
