A shoe assembly (19) is provided with the shoe part including a cast (20), a bottom plate (30) adapted to engage with a work. The cast (20) includes a bulge (24). The bulge includes a series of recesses on a surface not facing the housing of the tool. The shoe assembly includes an attachment part for attaching the shoe part on the housing of the tool. The attachment part includes an elastically displacable ball bearing for engaging with the recesses on the bulge (24) in the housing (44) installed on a clamp plate (40), and selectively and releasably retains the shoe part in one of a plurality of predetermined directions relative to the attachment part.
