Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate necessity for fastening works using any cord for tightening when a shoe counter is to be hung in a shoe die and prevent generation of pleats, etc., at the bottom periphery of the body of the shoe cover.

CONSTITUTION: A tape member 3 with less expansion and contraction in the direction across the width, for example a tape cloth, is bonded to the bottom periphery of a shoe counter body 2 where the bottom surface is left open, and loops 4 are formed at the inner edge of the tape member 3 by zigzag sewing, etc., and in these loops 4, a cord for tightening 5 having a certain length is furnished on the closed system. On the outside and inside of the tape member 3 in its part mating with the arch of the sole, non-formation parts (a), (b) are provided where no such loops 4 are formed, and these parts (a), (b) are crossed together from inside and outside by drawing out the cord to the outside.
