Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide shoes light in weight which keep their shape and offer a sense of luxury and an efficient method of manufacture thereof.

CONSTITUTION: An instep 12 is made to touch a midsole 16 at the surface 12B of the end portion 12A thereof. A lower 18 and upper 20 platforms are disposed inside the instep 12 with an insole 22 bonded to the upper surface of the upper platform 20. The end portion 22A of the insole 22 is made to touch the end portion 12A of the instep 12 and the surface 22B of the end portion 22A is made to touch the midsole 16. Intermediate cloth 24 is disposed between the upper and lower platforms 20, 18 with the end portions 24A of the intermediate cloth 24 touching the end portion 22A of the insole 22 and with the surface 24B of the end portion 24A touching the midsole 16. An outsole 26 is bonded to the midsole 16. A welt 28 is formed on the outside of the end portion 12A of the instep 12.
