PURPOSE: To provide shoes capable of counting accurately the number of steps even in walking and running.
CONSTITUTION: When a foot touches down the ground, pressure in a gas tank reaches the peak. When the foot is separated from the ground, the pressure in the gas tank is abruptly lowered and the weight of one's body is not temporarily applied to the gas tank. In an embodiment, when measured pressure data are lowered lower comparative pressure data stored in a comparative pressure register D1 of an RAM 18, it is counted as one step of the number of steps. Namely, a controller section 14 inputs the comparative pressure data stored in the comparative pressure register D1 to an amplifying-voltage comparing section 16 which compares the measured pressure data from a sensor section 15 with the comparative pressure data to judge whether or not the measured pressure data is lowered lower than the comparative pressure data. When the measured pressure data is lowered lower than the comparative pressure data, the amplifying-voltage comparing section 16 outputs a detecting signal to the controller section 14 which advances a counter C by +1 to count the number of steps.
