PURPOSE: To prevent slipping of shoes during walking under water by providing a first draining hole at an upper part thereof and a second draining hole on the bottom part thereof to discharge water entering the shoes outside.

CONSTITUTION: In this shoes both for use under water and on land, a plurality off holes 3 are provided at the upper part 1 thereof and foot insertion holes 4 are provided to insert feet. A foot band 2 is linked to the upper part 1 of the shoes. On the other hand, a plurality of draining holes 6 and a plurality of protrusions 7 for preventing slippage are provided on the bottom part 5. The upper part 1 and the bottom part 5 are joined between the end faces thereof with a joint member 10 such as cloth. The plurality of draining holes 3 and 6 provided at the upper part 1 and on the bottom part 5 facilitate the draining of water in the shoes both for use under water and on land even when water enters the shoes in the sea. Thus. better feeling of adhesion is obtained between human feet and the shoes both for use under water and on land to prevent the slipping of the feet off the shoes even in the sea thereby eliminating a trouble such as injury by slippage of the feet off the shoes in the sea like the case of beach sandals.
