To provide new shoes which are manufactured by a California type manufacturing method and provided with a waterproof function, and to provide a new manufacturing method for manufacturing the shoes easily.
An instep cover 1 is arranged in the outside of a bag-state inner 7 consisting of a moisture-permeable waterproof sheet, and the bag-state inner 7 is sewn to the inner surface of the instep cover (α). Next, after the lower edge of the instep cover 1 and the rim of an inner bottom 2 are sewn to each other to form a bag-state instep cover 3, the tip of a brush is inserted to an opening 9 formed at the inner bottom 2 to apply an adhesive to the bottom 8 of the bag-state inner to adhere the bottom 8 of the bag-state inner and the inner bottom 2 (β). Next, an inner plate 5 is adhered (γ) to the lower surface of the inner bottom, and a bottom tape 4 sewn to the outside of the lower edge of the instep cover 1 is folded back to the inside to be hung under the inner plate 5, and thereafter a main bottom 6 is adhered (δ) to the lower surface of the inner plate.
