To provide a shopping cart safety belt which can prevent a person to be protected, such as an infant, from falling off from the shopping cart due to its body leaning forward or moving of the center of gravity, or prevent an accident of overturn of the shopping cart together with it.

This shopping cart, which involves a simplified seat part on a hand-push handle side, is constituted of two of the first safety belts 15, 15' whose one side of an detachable member with two of them forming a pair is formed at one end part of a narrow belt, and whose other end parts are joined to shopping cart structural members 9, 9' respectively on both the seat back part sides of the simplified seat part, and one of the second safety belt 16 whose central part of the narrow belt is jointed to shopping cart structural member 10, or 11, 11' at the crotch receiving part of the simplified seat part of the shopping cart, and whose other side of the detachable member is formed at both the end parts. By attaching and detaching of the detachable member formed at the first safety belts 15, 15' and the second safety belt 16, it is possible to restraint and release the thigh of a person seated on the seat part.
