A normal shopping cart is provided with a merchandise information reading means for reading merchandise information attached to the merchandise, a total price calculation means for calculating the total price of the merchandise by using the merchandise information, a display means for displaying the total price, a paying means for paying the total price, a payment confirming means for confirming that the total price has been paid by the paying means and a payment confirming information storing means for storing the payment confirming information of the merchandise the payment of which is confirmed by the payment confirming means.
