Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install short circuiting preventers in a large variety of watthour meters with clamping parts sliding in the width direction of the watthour meters without relying on the width of the watthour meters.SOLUTION: A short circuiting preventer that prevents short circuiting among plural terminals when a cover overlaying a terminal unit 120 consisting of plural terminals of a watthour meter 100 for measuring the electric power consumed when prescribed work is to be done with the cover overlaying the terminal unit taken off, comprises a pair of clamping part materials 20 that hold the two flanks of the watthour meter 100, an adjusting member 30 that so adjusts the distance between the pair of clamping part materials 20 that the two flanks can be held between them according to the distance between the two flanks of the watthour meter 100 and a working window 42 that is connected to the adjusting member 30 to individually expose the plural terminals. A protecting member 40 covering the terminal unit 120 is further disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
