To provide a shorts-type disposable diaper which is fit to a body of a wearer in an excellent manner if a wearer of a different body shape wears the diaper and improves effects of preventing leakage especially from opening parts around legs.
In the shorts-type disposable diaper with a front body, a back body, and a crotch part, a length at a side edge part on the side of the opening part around the leg of either the front body or the back body is made to be longer than that of the other body. A stretching elastic member around legs is disposed in the longer side edge part region, and a tying means attached to and detached from the side edge part of the opposing body is formed at a separable part along the stretching elastic member around the legs from the side edge to the crotch part in the neighborhood of a part where the stretching elastic member around legs is placed. The side edge part region is used as a tying tape part with elasticity by separating the side edge part region at the separable part in wearing the diaper.
